The hangover has barely cleared up, 2010 is still a mewling infant, but the calendar is getting full.

For fans and detractors of convicted bike thief extraordinaire Igor Kenk (judging by the hate mail I’m getting, the detractors outnumber the fans by about 50 to 1), the book will be out on shelves May 1st. The big debut will happen at the Toronto Comic Conference, but I will be posting some images here shortly.

For fans and detractors of American pop culture in the Muslim world, it looks like The Sheikh’s Batmobile will be rolling out in the US of A in September, with vaunted indie press Soft Skull. More details forthwith.

For fans and detractors of the FIFA World Cup Finals South Africa, I’m currently in Johannesburg working on a Walrus piece about the footie-fest. I’ll be camped out at the Walrus blog, starting in a couple of weeks or so, trying to put the tournament in a broader context. I would love to tell those of you in Europe and North America that the weather here is crap too, but that would be a terrible, terrible lie.
