On Wednesday, October 21, I’m joining an eclectic rag-tag group of no-nonsense mavericks for Toronto’s quarterly Box Salon. I have sadly never made it out to one, but apparently these shindigs are the definition of eclectic rag-taggism. Details here.

Busy month; lots of jabbering. This week and next, I’ll be holding two seminars on The Sheikh’s Batmobile for the University of Toronto’s Continuing Education Department. The first is on October 7 at the Oakville Public Library, 50 Arkendo Drive, Oakville, at noon sharp. The second takes place at the Markham Civic Centre, 12:30pm on October 15.

For my little homies, I’m doing an afternoon reading on Sunday, October 18, for Small Print – the new kiddies’ reading wing of the late lamented Toronto literary institution Pages (insert a small prayer for indie booksellers here). Winnie the Pooh is back, apparently, and this time he’s not taking any guff from that cheeky donkey. Check out the deets here.
